About Classic Road and Track

Here at Classic Road and Track (CRT) we have a passion for finely engineered classic road and competition cars. Our aim is to provide the highest level of service to our clients whether it be the  restoration, race preparation or sale of their unique classic car. Both Mark and David have a vast knowledge of the history of all European marques from the 50’s,60’s and 70’s including their competition achievements and models.

CRT came into existence in 2006 and is owned and run by Mark Johnson and David Belford. Like many collaborations this one came about through a coincidence that Dave's crash repair business was in the same street as Mark’s own business and of course, hard for him to miss as there was a steady stream of classic Porsches being repaired and painted. As Dave is trained in fabrication and vintage body work his frustration with the mainstream panel beating industry saw him sell his company in 2005. It was at this point in time that a chat over a coffee led to the formation of CRT.

Dave had the knowledge of classic Porsches and Mark had the premises and while not possessing anything like David's skills together they share the same passion. Initial projects have included the maintenance and preparation of race and tarmac rally vehicles like a 1973 Porsche 911E and 1974 2.7 Carrera, 1964 Group N Mustang and Group Nc 1969 327 Monaro.
